A few things about it
Danny Starr is an emerging professional artist living in Wilmington, NC. He first discovered his passion for painting while obtaining a History degree from Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO. In 2015 he completed the drawing program at the Angel Academy of Art in Florence, Italy. Over the past 3 years he has been exhibiting art around the country including his first solo and two person show in Denver, CO in 2019.
His work often combines a classical technique with modern style. In order to create a harmony between the natural and conceptual, he uses geometrical blueprints finding major points of interest to help direct the viewer’s eye around the painting. His brush strokes play a big role in obtaining a painterly look to the finished product where amidst his subject matter chaotic strokes, splatters and bleeds help to create a dynamism between refined and wild areas on the canvas.
